Best Practice – LQS Seeding Operation Checklist

Get the Best Out of Your Seeding Operation! The seeding season is all about precision and efficiency. A well-maintained liquid application system ensures you hit the ground running with accurate nutrient placement, optimal pressure, and smooth operation.

To keep everything performing at its best, follow this LQS Seeding Operation Checklist:

Monitor Operating Pressure:
• Know your standard pressure for early fault detection (varies with speed & rate).
High pressure, on rate = Possible blockages.
Low pressure, on rate = Possible leaks.

Verify Application Rates:
• Compare tank sight gauge readings with controller usage for accuracy.
• Revise flowmeter calibration if discrepancies occur.

Check Pressure Changes:
• Monitor gauge/screen for fluctuations when switching sections on/off.

Maintain Optimal Pressure:
Ideal Range: 2-2.5 Bar.
Acceptable Range: 1.5 – 4 Bar for varying flow rates.

Inspect Distribution Kit Daily:
• Ensure friction tube protrudes from line holders (stainless tube).
• Check for leaks or blockages in terminal assemblies.

Flush & Inspect Filters Daily:
• Prevent residue buildup and blockages.
• Regularly check & clean filters for consistent flow.

Check for Air in the System:
Air Bleeding: Remove air pockets from the suction filter to prevent pressure fluctuations.
Foaming: Look for foaming in the tank, which may indicate air ingress.

Record Keeping:
Log Data: Track daily pressure readings, flow rates & any issues.
Maintenance Records: Document servicing & part replacements for reference.

💡 Pro tip: A few minutes of daily routine checks can make all the difference in performance, efficiency, and profitability!

Keep this checklist handy & power up your productivity!

By staying on top of these best practices, you can prevent downtime, maximise efficiency, and set up for a successful season.
