New Friction Tube added to Updated Flow Charts
We have added 1.5mm ID Pink Friction Tube to our range.
Why 1.5mm ID Pink? It’s the perfect middle ground between 1.2mm ID Yellow and 1.8mm ID Purple.
💡 Key benefits:
- Ideal for rate setups that are either too short with Yellow or too long with Purple.
- Offers wider application rates between high and low viscosity liquids.
As more liquid products enter the market, growers are becoming increasingly adventurous in applying them in-furrow, experimenting with a wider range of mixes and concentrations.
Some of these liquid products are more viscous than those previously used. For example, the use of APP and higher UAN application rates has increased. This is not an issue as long as the operator selects the appropriate internal diameter resistance device and calculates the correct friction tube length to maintain an optimal pressure range.
IMPORTANT 👉 We recommend an optimal working pressure of 2-2.5 Bar. However, a 1.5 to 4 Bar working range is acceptable when a broader flow rate range is needed.
To maintain the optimal working pressure, you must have the correct restrictive device to provide system back-pressure. Each outlet must have the same device and the same length.
We offer two kinds of Restrictive Devices: Line Meters or Friction Tube. Learn More by clicking on the button below.
